Whiplash Injury

Causes of whiplash
It’s generally associated with a car accident, hitting you from the rear or front end or even sideways, this can happen when stationary as well. Also a blow on the head with a heavy object, can have the same effect. You may think you are alright, but it’s best to check it out with your GP, as with a whiplash it can have a delayed effect, where stiffness and swelling occurs and occasionally a tingling sensation in your arms.

The whole of your back and body could be affected and out of line, even the jaw, depending on the impact. Also you may be in shock and have a fear of driving, as a result of the accident.

Realignment method Treatment for Whiplash
It’s advised to treat as soon as possible, as in most cases the body is out of line. I treat in alternating periods, where one day I treat the client and the following day they rest. This is the quickest and most effective way of treating a whiplash.

Exercises are shown after the treatment, to strengthen the neck muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and to help keep the spine aligned.
